Following the declaration by the World Health Organization of COVID-19 as a pandemic and the increased number of international travel restrictions, the World Kabaddi has decided to suspend all activities provisionally, with the health and safety of athletes, coaches, officials and fans as the top priority.
The suspension comes into effect from Monday 16th March 2020 and relates to all World Kabaddi sanctioned events and activities including the World Kabaddi Day 2020.
In lieu of any physical activities to mark the World Kabaddi Day on March 24, we suggest that members use the official social media handles with the following hashtags – #worldkabaddiday, #onekabaddi, #playkabaddi – to celebrate the day
World Kabaddi recommends that all members to review their scheduled local events in consultation with their respective nation’s health authorities.
