Hosts Egypt will be out to capture a double at the 3rd African Kabaddi Championships to be held in Sharm el Sheikh.
The Egyptians won the women’s title at the last championships in Tanzania and look likely to repeat the feat this time at home.
The fast improving side will start off among the favourites for the men’s title alongside Tanzania.
The championships being held under the auspices of the Africa Kabbadi Confederation affiliated to World Kabaddi will also serve as the qualifying tournament for the continent to the next World Cup Kabaddi.
Among the participating teams in the competition apart from the hosts are Tanzania, Nigeria, Somalia, Djibouti and Mauritius.
