The World Kabaddi conducted its first mid-term Congress virtually on Saturday 28th November 2020.

The meeting chaired by the World Kabaddi president Mr Ashok Das and was attended by member nations from all five continents.

The president stressed on the need for members to remain united and work towards enhancing the status of kabaddi.

He said that the membership with The Association For International Sport for All (TAFISA) was a step in the right direction as the sports aims to gain more recognition at the international level.

The meeting also welcomed the membership of Tajikistan.

The Africa Kabaddi Championships scheduled for December this year has been rescheduled to 9-15 Marc 2021 due to the ongoing pandemic.

Cyprus confirmed that they will host the European Championships in April next year while the World Cup 2020 in Scotland will be rescheduled to a new date in 2021.
