Birmingham Bulls secured three wins on the opening weekend of the inaugural British Kabaddi League in Wolverhampton.
The Bulls added to Saturday’s win over Wolverhampton Wolfpack with an 80-15 victory over Leicester Warriors and a 53-16 triumph against Edinburgh Eagles.
Edinburgh had a much closer match against Glasgow Unicorns earlier on Sunday, but went down 54-47.
Manchester Raiders proved too strong for London Lions, winning 52-31.
Raiders also won on Saturday against Glasgow Unicorns. They host the second weekend of the BKL, in Oldham on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 April, before the teams head to Birmingham (23-34 April) and then Glasgow (30 April-1 May) for the finals.
Matches in the new league, which is designed to broaden the South Asian sport’s appeal in the UK, are being streamed worldwide on the BBC Sport website and BBC iPlayer.
